I've done one of these before, but it wasn't in this cool of a car. Fantastic job! How did you get that wide of an angle at 50mm?!
Reply
:iconfinvara:
Finvara Featured By Owner Jan 13, 2010
actually it was 8mm that is just DA adding the 50mm tag

Oh ok. That makes sense. I was trying to figure out what kind of lens gives you THAT much distortion at 50mm. Haha.

I've been trying this effect lately but I can't keep the camera as steady as you did.
What gear did you use and how did you use it?

Thanks!

use a tripod and try try try...let somebody else try and push the tripod to the ground so it only shakes with the car and it is still shaky, take a closer look...

Thanks a lot for the advice.
When I tryied it I used one of the little tripods wit plastic grp they sell now... (can't remember the name) and looks like an octopus.
Tryied to keep the camera very steady but it was impossible!

Thanks again!

holy cow, on a fullframe 50mm lens are is wide?!?
Reply
:iconfinvara:
Finvara Featured By Owner Sep 13, 2009
now it is a 8-11mm lens, depending on type of camera. 50mm seems to be standard if the camera cant mesure it...it is an analogue lens type, only works manually.

brilliant exposure - how did you manage to achieve a non-blurred inside of the car? even the smallest road bump seems to kill the effect - despite using a very sturdy tripod.
